What drugs does Quest Diagnostics test for pre employment? ›

A: Quest Diagnostics tests for the following drugs: amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cocaine, marijuana, MDMA (ecstasy) and its metabolite, methadone, opiates, oxycodone, phencyclidine (PCP) and propoxyphene, synthetic cannabinoids (“K2/Spice”) and synthetic stimulants (“Bath Salts”).

Drug test results are typically released within 24-72 hours of a specimen's arrival at the laboratory. We are not able to provide donors with information regarding the status of a specimen or the result of a drug test.

Don't eat or drink anything but water for 9-12 hours before your appointment. It's okay to drink water and take your medications. If your test does not require you to fast, this means you are free to eat before your screening.

If your healthcare professional ordered your tests, your results are sent directly to your healthcare professional as soon as testing is complete. If you have a MyQuest account, your test results will be delivered to your account as soon as they are available.

Designations like “12-panel”, or “13-panel”, do not reflect an exact count of drugs included in our panels. At Quest, the drug test panel with the most drug/analytes included in it will be labeled as a 10-panel plus whatever add-on drugs may be included.
