Directions
1.To cook your roasted garlic parmesan green beans: Preheat your oven to 400ºF (200°C).
2.In a large bowl, combine fresh green beans with butter, minced garlic, parmesan, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning and toss to combine.
3.Spread the prepared green beans on a baking sheet. Roast the green beans for 15-20 minutes until crisp-tender, stirring halfway through. Remove parmesan green beans from the oven, transfer to a serving plate and serve immediately, garnished with fresh chopped parsley. Enjoy!
Notes:
- To make your green beans more tender: You can pre-cook green beans in the microwave with 1 cup water for 5 minutes, then soak into ice-cold water before mixing with butter, garlic, and parmesan.
- We find that parmesan is already salty, so go easy on salt at first, then taste and adjust seasoning to your taste.
- If you like your green beans coated with extra crispy parmesan, add up to 1 cup of parmesan to the mixture.

Loved this recipe. I used an olive oil and butter combination, and added some fresh lemon juice on top of green beans before serving.

I absolutely loved this recipe… I did do 1/2 the butter and a little olive oil instead of all butter and I cooked it on 350 for 30 minutes because I had other stuff that needed to cook on 350 … perfect did not burn as some posters said.

This is a great recipe but I made a few modifications to make them a little healthier. I drizzled olive oil over the beans instead of butter. I also didn’t add the freshly grated parm until after they were done cooking. The cheese doesn’t burn this way. Then I topped with green onion instead of parsley. Absolutely delicious!

Wonderful delicious. Used 2Tbsp bacon drippings in place of butter, on beans then coated with other ingredients leaving out the salt.. Family loved it. Definitely will make often.

Very tasty, but VERY greasy! Next time I will use just half a cube of butter. 😬

Sooo glad I decided to only use half of the butter mixture on one pound of green beans! I cannot fathom using the entire butter amount. Yummy recipe!

This recipe was such a hit and so easy to make! I made this as a side to a hearty Italian Christmas dinner yesterday and everyone couldn't stop raving about the green beans. I did blanch the green beans for 3 minutes (followed by an ice bath) a few hours before prep time which worked really nicely. I will say, I doubled the recipe but didn't double the amount of butter the recipe called for — it just felt like way too much butter and it turned out great. The crunchy bits of parm paired with the sweet tender green beans was so wonderful. And the oven cooking method was a great hands-off option while I tended to other parts of the meal.
