Free game lineup for April includes DreadOut 2, God's Trigger and more, courtesy of Amazon Prime Gaming (2025)

Amazon Prime members have six new PC games to claim this week through Prime Gaming, with a few hidden gems and some lighter titles in the mix. The offer went live on April 10 and includes games across genres like strategy, action, horror, and narrative puzzlers. While not all titles are headline-worthy, the lineup has a decent variety for those looking to try something different.

• DreadOut 2 is arguably the most recognizable title on the list. It’s a third-person survival horror game that combines Indonesian folklore with modern horror design. It has drawn comparisons to the Fatal Frame series. Reviews are mixed, with some praising the eerie tone and others downplaying its clunky mechanics.

• Endless Space – Definitive Edition is a turn-based sci-fi strategy game from Amplitude Studios, which is well known for their 4X titles. It lets players build and manage galactic empires, and while it’s been around for a while, the Definitive Edition includes all the major expansions and tweaks. Strategy fans will likely appreciate the depth, even if the pacing isn’t for everyone.

• God’s Trigger, available via GOG, is a top-down co-op shooter with a chaotic side to it. It has fast-paced violence with stylized visuals and a tongue-in-cheek story about an angel and demon teaming up to stop the apocalypse. The controls are tight, and the action is satisfying, though it’s not very long.

• New York Mysteries: Power of Art Collector's Edition (available via Legacy Code) is one of the more casual entries in the bundle. It’s a hidden object game wrapped in a detective narrative, and it is aimed towards players who enjoy slower, puzzle-heavy experiences. It won’t be for everyone, but the Collector’s Edition does include extra content for those who are into this genre.

• Projection: First Light (Amazon Games app) stands out for its unique shadow puppet art style. It’s a platform-puzzle game that tells the story of a girl navigating a world made of light and shadow. While the presentation is undoubtedly striking, the controls can sometimes feel imprecise, which has been a common criticism of the game.

• Faraway: Director’s Cut (Amazon Games app) rounds out the list. It’s a puzzle-adventure game set in mysterious temples, similar in tone to The Room or Myst, but lighter in complexity. The Director’s Cut includes updated visuals and new content, and it’s great for quick, casual sessions.

All six games are free to claim for Prime members and can be redeemed through a mix of the Amazon Games App, GOG, and Legacy Games. It’s a mixed bag, but there’s enough variety here to justify a look.
