Battle Academia Caitlyn
Arguably one of her best skins, Caitlyn takes the role of the straight-A class president at the Labrys God-Weapon Academy within the Battle Academia alternate universe. She is feared and respected by most students, rocking her school’s military-like uniform while toting around a massive, magical rifle as she tries to become the greatest battlefield general in history.
The skin features a ton of new voice lines, some satisfying and recognizable sound effects, and flashy animations to boot. She breaks out her signature flan during one of her emotes and has the most obnoxious laughs in the game. It’s the perfect way to mock your opponents after you’ve successfully knocked them down with a well-placed shot, leading to your victory.
Arcade Caitlyn
Caitlyn looks great as the title hero of the “Sniper Cop” rail shooter series within the Arcade universe. She wields a rifle designed similarly to the NES Zapper, which makes sense considering she shoots at targets in her game like Duck Hunt. She also conjures up a big screen as she fires at enemies during her recall.
With pixelated animations and classic video game sound effects aplenty, Caitlyn’s Arcade skin stands out as a perfect representation of the cosmetic line. The only issue that people might find with the skin is that she doesn’t have any special voice lines, but the overall look of the skin should help convince anyone searching for a new outfit for their favorite sheriff.
Snow Moon Caitlyn
As one of Caitlyn’s newest skins, Snow Moon Caitlyn brings the Moons of Ionia alternate universe to life with a beautifully-built player model and detailed animations. As a direct rival to the Blood Moon cultists, the Sheriff is dressed to the nines in the white and red colors of her group. Her rifle has been transformed into a magical weapon that has a brilliant, glowing core.
Her traps are vine-like snappers that cause whichever champion to glow with a bright blue sheen. The audio and visual cues for her abilities make it easy for players to know when they’ve successfully activated, while her auto attacks strike with one of the most satisfying impact sounds in the game. Finally, her recall animation places her rifle on a royal pedestal front of her, as she summons the Blood Moon above her ahead.
Heartthrob Caitlyn
As an ode to her popular relationship with her fellow Piltover Enforcer, Caitlyn is sent back to high school as the classic preppy class president to Vi’s grungy class rebel for her new Valentine’s Day skins.
There are so many different details built into the skin, including a recall animation that has her check her locker for a note from her favorite partner. For context, Vi’s Valentine’s Day recall animation has her break into Caitlyn’s locker and stuff a love note within.
Additionally, her abilities have been transformed across the board, including a new Q that transforms her Piltover Peacemaker into a giant paper airplane. A bunch of her animations and visual cues have been changed into unique 2D effects, similar to hand-drawn scribbles on a notebook. Her ultimate ability even changed her Ace in a Hole bullet into a heart that strikes the soul of her opponents.
