Ronda Rousey was born in Riverside, California, she is American, but her roots are very interesting. Her maternal grandfather was Venezuelan, so Ronda Rousey has Venezuelan ancestry.
Rousey also has British and Polish ancestry, but it was her Latin side that flourished the most. For example, Ronda loves Latin food and music, and she says she has Venezuela in her heart.
9 Had Childhood Apraxia Of Speech
When she was just a child, Ronda Rousey had a speech disorder called apraxia, also known as developmental verbal dyspraxia. Ronda had trouble pronouncing letters, syllables and even words. Fortunately, the intense therapy sessions were effective, and over the years Ronda got the disorder under control, and her speech improved.
On top of that, Ronda Rousey's biological father died by suicide when she was eight, so Ronda did not have an easy childhood, that's for sure.
